“We found our dream motorhome, a Sunliner Habitat 1, so rung their New Zealand agents, Road Life in Tauranga, and then the fun began.
Covid caused supply issues but their operations manager, Leanne, was fantastic to deal with, as I was always ringing and emailing wanting to find out the progress of our motorhome. She always replied straight away with any snippets of information that she had. A long wait later, our Habitat 1 arrived bright and shiny into New Zealand.
Sadly, as we have a sheep and beef farm in Dovedale, we couldn’t rush up to collect her as we were in the middle of lambing season.
We said that Road Life could take our Habitat 1 to the Mystery Creek Motorhome and Leisure Show and show her off. We met some people a couple of weeks later that had been through our motorhome and were very impressed.
We finally got a chance to get away, so rushed up to Tauranga, where we were picked up at the airport by Road Life and arrived at the yard to see our beautiful Habitat 1 shining in the sun with a beautiful big red bow on her. I must say I shed a tear when I touched her.
When handover day arrived, it was wonderful meeting Leanne in person, after so many phone calls and emails.
Road Life salesman, Andy, took us through everything thoroughly, we got a bit frazzled as there was so much to take in, but he told us to ring anytime, and he’d be happy to help.
So, many photos later, we headed off – first stop to Countdown to fill the fridge. We then spent our first night at nearby Welcome Bay and OMG the king size bed is glorious.
The wait was 100 per cent worth it, and dealing with Road Life was 1000 per cent worth it too.
